In short
- We only collect what we need to answer you, carry out our engagements and invoice you.
- We don’t sell your information and we don’t do targeted advertising.
- This website uses no cookies and no analytics.
- Data from your systems that we access during an engagement is used for that engagement only.
- You can access, correct or have your information deleted at any time.
The French version of this policy, Politique de confidentialité, prevails if the two differ.
1. Who we are
Logiciels E’nergik Software inc. (“energik”, “we”) is a Québec company that builds automation software, notably for AutoCAD and QuickBooks.
This policy applies to the e-nergik.com website, to our exchanges with clients and prospective clients, and to the engagements we carry out. The tchin.ai app, which we also operate, has its own privacy policy.
2. Person in charge of the protection of personal information
The person in charge of the protection of personal information ensures that this policy and the law are respected. You can reach them with any question, request or complaint:

3. What we collect
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Contact details | Your name, email, phone number, company name and job title, when you write to us or become a client. |
| Correspondence | Your emails, the description of your needs and any sample files you choose to send us. |
| Contract information | Proposals, contracts, invoices and payments related to an engagement. |
| Website technical data | Your IP address and browser, received by our host to serve the pages (section 11). |
We collect this information directly from you, except technical data, which is collected automatically.
4. Why we use it
- To answer your questions and prepare a proposal.
- To carry out our engagements and provide follow-up support.
- To invoice, collect payments and keep our books.
- To protect our website and systems.
- To meet our legal obligations, including tax obligations.
We don’t send newsletters or solicitations without your consent, and we don’t use your information for other purposes without your consent, unless the law allows it.
5. Our clients’ data during an engagement
To automate your processes, we may access your drawings, your books or other systems that contain personal information (for example about your employees, customers or suppliers). In that case, you remain responsible for that information and we process it on your behalf, under a written agreement. We commit to:
- use it only to carry out the engagement;
- limit access to the people working on it, and use test data whenever possible;
- protect it with security measures suited to its sensitivity;
- notify you promptly of any confidentiality incident;
- return or destroy it at the end of the engagement.
6. Who we share it with
We don’t sell or rent your information. We only share it:
- with our service providers (website hosting, email, file storage, accounting), who process it for us under an agreement that protects its confidentiality;
- with our professional advisers (accountants, lawyers), who are bound by confidentiality;
- when the law requires or allows it, for example at the request of an authority.
7. Transfers outside Québec
Some of our providers may store or process information elsewhere in Canada or abroad, notably in the United States. Before entrusting them with personal information, we assess whether it will be adequately protected there, and we govern the transfer by contract.
8. Retention
- Inquiries that go no further: at most three years after the last contact.
- Client files and accounting records: as long as tax laws require, generally six years after the end of the tax year concerned.
- Data from your systems: for the duration of the engagement only (section 5).
At the end of these periods, information is securely destroyed or anonymized.
9. Security
We protect your information with measures suited to its sensitivity: limited access protected by strong authentication, encrypted communications and backups, and providers chosen for their security practices. If an incident presents a risk of serious harm, we notify you and the Commission d’accès à l’information, and we keep a register of incidents.
10. Your rights
Under the law, you can:
- access your personal information and learn how we use it;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
- get a copy of the information you provided, in a structured, commonly used technological format;
- withdraw your consent to a use or a disclosure;
- ask for deletion of your information, subject to our legal retention obligations.
Write to confidentialite@e-nergik.com. We answer within 30 days, free of charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity.
11. The website and cookies
The e-nergik.com website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers. As with any website, our host (Microsoft Azure) receives technical connection data, such as your IP address and browser, to serve the pages and protect the service. Fonts are provided by Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address.
If we ever add cookies or analytics, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
12. Complaints
If you believe your information was not handled properly, write to our person in charge at confidentialite@e-nergik.com and describe the situation. We acknowledge receipt, review the complaint and answer in writing within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
13. Changes
We may update this policy, for example when we add a service or a provider. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version. For any significant change, we notify our clients by email before it takes effect.
